Maybe it has to do with Sunday’s sermon or that my daughter has a crush on an older boy or that my baby is nearing 17 months
or that this fellow has outgrown every pair of shoes in his closet
but I’ve been trying to ward off sentimental these last few days. I’ve been at my parent’s home this week walking the halls, passing pictures mounted on the wall of weddings and vacations and babies.
It makes this sentimental season linger.
But this moment is good … a first crush, a chance to shop for shoes and a baby who says words only I can understand. Yes, this is a good season to stop for a few moments and rest in sentimental.
I hear you — fall is indeed a sentimental season. And with my youngest starting kindergarten this year, it’s making me even more nostalgic!
your children are so beautiful.
I agree . fall kind of messes with my head in general
